I came here twice and it was AMAZING! I ordered the urban bowl and the tostadas, they were both on point. It was fresh and full of flavor

I love the food is awesome. Food was made in minutes no waiting time. Also love the fact they make your quacamoli fresh on the spot . I give them two thumbs up. Keep up the good work. And yes I will be back.

Can't stop raving of how great this place is. And now, after the response feedback from the restaurant, they listened and worked on a fix on the hosting service. Visited yesterday and from the moment we walked in, we were happily greeted by a friendly host-- and the host as well greeted every other person that came in after us. Then once seated, we were given excellent service too by Jean and Leslie, two of the funniest and friendliest staff members. Keep up the awesome work!

Star 1-5 Food 3/5 Great taste, good amount and good presentation. I'll give them three stars because the rice was hard (undercooked). The dessert was really good and not to much. Service 5/5 Fast, friendly and excellent price.

The steak fajitas are delicious the orders are huge, the nachos were very good I like that they have a salsa bar so you can try different ones very good

I wasn't a huge fan when I first tried this place. Basic Tex Mex but can be a bit unfavorable depending on what you get. But since they put one down the street I find its growing on me. I like the convenience of being able to walk my dog around the block and getting to relax here. The food is good and reasonable in price. And for south Florida it's decent Tex Mex. Bottom line quick, good service, decent food, and cost efficient.

This place is has really good food but what they need to work on is there coldness of the food .Everytime I come it's like a hit or miss but one thing is for sure is the food always comes out cool . My guess is that they permake all There meats and leave it there lying around until someone comes guessing cause of all the traffic they have in the store cause one things for sure there no way your making all that food in two min cause EVERYTIME I walk in the store my food ready even before I sit down so for sure they leave all The food laying around cooked getting cold which sucks cause there food is great but manger and employees are great so that's why I come back but if you do come just tell Them ahead to make sure your food is hot ..

I've been here 3 times. Twice to this particular location and the once on Biscayne blvd. I've only had a handful of menu items, mostly all revolving around the ceviche. Which surprisingly isn't bad at all. My first time I had cheese less, chicken nachos (I set myself up, I know. Life of the lactose intolerance dawgie.) This was topped off with, beans pico and guac. Sour cream off to the side for the lil bro bro'. The guacamole is really basic, but not everyone gets it. Sal y Limon. That's all I have to say. I've had the main ceviche platter which is served with mango and avocado (avohoefolyfe) and a side of tostones. I tore that up. Spritz some lime on that oh goddamn goddamn that was a decent munch. My last fiesta adventure I tried the Acapulco Salad. It sounded really great, corn, pico, this cilantro cream, guacamole for this guacahoeli, tostones! I put some ceviche on that bihh. I was hungry, I was excited, but the flavor fell through. It just wasn't there. Not even con sal y limon.' I will say this though, it was a huge salad. Sucks it was so lackluster. In short, the food here, it's nothing to really rave about. It's not bad, but it's not something I envision myself craving. They claim the food is made from scratch everyday....I call bullfish. There's so much better Mexican out there that fakes it so much better. If I were to revisit it would only be out of convenience.

The two times I have come to this Salsa Fiesta the food has been fresh and food comes out quickly. I absolutely love that they have a lettuce wrap option for tacos and fajitas!! I ordered the chicken fajitas (lettuce wrap) and I enjoyed it. The toppings were fresh (sour cream, guacamole) and the lettuce leaves were huge. Will definitely return when I'm looking for a quick lunch.

I've been here twice, once for takeout, the other to dine in. I was recommended to come here by a coworker. She had good things to say, so that made me want to try it out. The restaurant itself is located on main street. You can sit either inside or outside. The inside is decorated nicely and is very clean. Our server wasn't too enthusiastic, and just wanted to get his job done. I ordered the Acapulco salad, and my bf got 3 tacos. They didn't take long to serve us, maybe around 12-15 min. Once we received our food, I thought it looked amazing. (I remember from the first time I ordered from here, I thought the chicken tasted weird. But I decided to give it a second try.) I took a bite and again, I thought the chicken tasted odd. I asked my bf what he thought of his food, and he said that the chicken tasted different. So I guess it's not just me. They do serve an abundance of food, but since I wasn't fully satisfied with the taste, I didn't want to try to finish it all. The presentation of the food is nice, and the location is nice too. However, there's something about the chicken that doesn't seem right. Maybe I'm just not accustomed to the way they make it????? Regardless, I won't be returning.

I love their food. Their staff are very attentive. I would give 5 stars but for some reason the review keeps getting deleted

Not my first time here. All times I have gone the food has been amazing! Always fresh and delicious, every time I go I try something different and I never have complaints about the food. I recommend the mero macho tacos and the hot tamale dip. On to the negative, the service is eh. The times I have gone They're slow and a man, I'm assuming the owner or manager, hovers around. Also when I called for take out they left me on hold for 20 minutes and forgot about me. Food makes up for all of that though.

Wow.... Pleasantly surprised! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by a young gentleman who walked us to our table with a smile. Being first timers he explained the menu in detail and recommended his favorites. The food came out in a jiffy, filled with bright colors and sauces we were eager to try! Oh boy was it good! I had the Mero Macho taco with carnitas and steak and my fiancé had a hot tamale burrito.... Wow! Definitely coming back!

I had the Nachos and Corn. I had to scrape off most of that mayo off the elote just for health reasons but it was good. It's been a while since I've had Elote it was decent. I think I despise restaurants that don't have queso lol I'm more of a melted cheese dip person vs a just melt some cheese on some tortilla chips. But it was fresh that's for sure! And that's what's important. If you don't care about melted cheese dips lol visit here. The service was subpar. Nothing to write home about but I'm sure that's not their goal, it's affordable and quick, so service will probably always be neglected unless you're ChickFilA lol. But I'd visit again.

I think salsa fiesta is over priced for the little food you get. I think they can serve more food and not be so stingy about it. The next time I go I'll use my coupon but other than that I won't really go.

Came here for work last week twice with a few coworkers and I loved it! The tostadas, burrito, chips & salsa, guacamole, tostones, and tamale dip were all amazing! We even got the dessert which was to die for!! The flavors are delicious and the food is very fresh. :-)

The mango taco is very good as well as their Mayan dessert. All in all not bad for Mexican. Better than chipotle.

So decided to take my parents to this place. Even though my dad doesn't really like mexican food. But once again this place did hit the line. He lovedddd it same as my mom. The manager was the same lady, spanish lady with short hair. Shes a must to have there in every shift. Kinda impossible though. But shes amazing with the customer service and coordinating everything as i was watching. Justin was our server. And he did fantastic. Like i said before this is my fav spot so far and it honestly is an amazing place to go with your friends and have an amazing time.

Perfect location, beautiful modern cool decor, great food super fast service since the waitresses use Tablets to take your orders we weren't even done placing ours before food started showing up to our table!!! Meet the Owner/Manager was great! What to order: Their Horchata devine! tasted like something from Teavana delish! Hot tamale salsa perfection ask for there spicest salsa and their brought out a purple thick mix (beets and other spices amazing : ) It's the best restaurant in Main Street amd way better than going to Chipotle!

First time there first I didn't like the fact that I got my Acapulco salad and by the time everyone got there food I was done. Sone orders were incorrect, The tostones were cold and a little too pricy.

Friendly & attentive service will always earn an extra star from me. Combine it with one of my favorite local chains, and Salsa Fiesta Miami Lakes gets five stars. I've always been a fan of their Wynwood location after discovering them during the Jet Set Fete a few years back, and am often at 29th & Biscayne when I want a Mexican food fix. I was pleasantly surprised to hear they opened in Miami Lakes. Having come in for dinner after work, I found out they now have table side service for dinner and on weekends. In addition to the densely delicious and well documented Mexican Chicken burrito and my favorite side of sweet corn tamale salsa, I checked out some of their chicken soft tacos. The "Mero Macho" three taco - like the Americanized taco with sour cream, beans and lettuce - tray was flavorful, soft, and with plenty of chicken. The mango habanero sauce gave it an extra kick. Of course I also enjoyed the Mayan roll and enjoyed the chocolatey goodness at home. My waiter was also right on time with the soda refills. As far as aesthetics, they have a couple of murals in the bathroom.

My wife and I love this place. The food is good and fresh. The service can be a bit green around the ears and could use some polishing however they are very courteous and attentive. I like the fact that if they are busy they will call your phone when your table is ready. This makes waiting more friendly because you can browse around Main Street. Cheers..

Cool hipster vibe , a rarity for Miami Lakes. I would come here for the ambience and the service. The owner Cesar introduced himself and shook my hand. This is a family owned business, which is cool. From what I had I recommend: The original hard taco with chicken

I was pleasantly surprised with this restaurant. It was clean and the service was quick. Food did not take too long to come out and it was really good. I ordered the tostones that look like its nachos. Came with beans pico de gallo cheese and steak and it was great. Usually I'm scared of ordering tostones at restaurant because a lot of time they are really hard or stale like but this were very well done. The guacamole we ordered as an appetizer was very creamy and tasted authentic. My son are all his chamacos plate. Def will be back soon it's way better than On the Border!

I went to this Salsa Fiesta on Mainstreet a week after it opened and it was my first time ever eating at a Salsa Fiesta restaurant before. I was expecting it to be a cross between Chipotle and Lime, and was pleased to find out that it was neither. It has a much more "authentic" Mexican food feel than your typical Chipotle, Lime, Moes, etc.. I love all these places and have nothing against them, it was just great to try another Mexican place that the atmosphere and food was different from the rest. The service was great. My boyfriend and I were seated right away and the server was very attentive to our needs and made some good recommendations. I had their mexican corn on the cob with queso fresco which was spectacular. I tried each of their tacos and they were all very tasty. I have a huge sweet tooth so I couldn't leave without trying their Mayan Roll - their chocolate-filled crispy tortillas with dulce de leche dipping sauce. One word: DELICIOUS! I'm looking forward to going back and trying some different items on their menu.

I was in the neighborhood again and my Staff wanted to go here for lunch. They were not aware of my not so good visit a get months ago. After that visit. I was impressed the owner not only wrote on my review for all but sent me a private message. That goes long way for me I decided to try the corn salsa again and this time the chips were warm and the salsa was flavorful. We all enjoyed. I ordered the enchiladas with green sauce. It comes with a yummy lime cilantro rice and black beans. The chicken inside was moist and flavorful. 2 of my staff ordered a combo plate with a huge borrito stuffed with rice, meat, fresh veggies and cheese. There was a beef toquitos and tostones. They said everything was good. Neither of them could finish their meal. My vegetarian associate got the tostones with veggies and cheese. They were crispy and covered with black beans and veggies. She said it was good and she could not finish it either. I'm happy to say that while the first impression was not great the second was a much better expierence.

Best quick Mexican food ever. I always get quesadillas when I come. Ask for John a great young gentlemen, who can help you with the menu, and excellent customer service. Would recommend to any one thinking about coming here! Thank you John and the team, for making my experience a good one.

I am SO happy this place opened up in the place of Johnny Rockets. This is a great addition to Main Street and Miami Lakes. Fresh, amazing food and drinks! There is one very overzealous and flamboyant cashier that got on my nerves and decided to promote Britney's new single 'Pretty Girls' while I was ordering-- but I have had nothing but positive experiences so far. I will definitely be a regular here considering how conveniently located it is. The avacado cream is just avacado and yogurt...which is strange, but good. I stick to the safe, classic chicken burrito but I wouldn't be scared to try something else and would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys mexican food. The prices are kinda similar to Chipotle but thankfully the food isn't nearly as spicy. Must try!

So I go here based on reviews.. Was I disappointed. I just want to order a Togo dinner, I walk into a very empty place. I stand at the to go area and watch the person who is change of it stand and talk to another employee- I try to get the attention of the manager who totally ignores me. I stand for 10 minutes and finally a table waiter comes and asks me if I need an order ... But I am done - won't be open in a year

First off I want to start with saying the overall experience at this restaurant was excellent. It began with the most helpful hostess (Ashley) accommodating our party, which was of 9, to sit outside and since it was raining adjust the umbrellas and she had no problem doing this. Our waiter, Jonathan and I will also add Ashley to this were very knowledgable of the menu, provided various recommendations of appetizers and entrees to consider and furthermore provided us with samples of the various Aguas frescas (Agua de Jamiaca, Tamarindo and Horchata). Let's get to the food....it was absolutely amazing. Whether you want to eat fried food or be healthy this restaurant has you covered. The experience again was excellent and I will most definitely return. Oh last thing, restrooms were beyond clean!

After trying a SF in another location I was not very moved by it. I decided to give it another shot since it opened so close to my house. Let's just say I have been there about 4-5 times already because this location I really enjoyed. I love their salty tostones. Salted just right. Their ceviche is my favorite thing to eat with the tostones. If I had to complain about something it would be the kids menu. My daughter doesn't love the choices. A good cheese and chicken quesadilla would be great. So happy I tried it again.

I remember coming here on my first date in middle school when it was Johnny Rockets. Coming back 15 years later I felt a wave of nostalgia just seeing how so many things from the space didn't change but at the same time extremely renovated and looks 100xs better. I came with my brother upon his suggestion and I wanted to know what the fuss was all about. I am so glad I gave it a chance because 100 Montaditos was looking like a great alternative! I walked in and ordered a Guacamole Burrito and was curious to try the avacado cream. But after ordering, I swiped my card and was uncomfortable with the tipping option as it was limited. I was a little skeptical when I ordered since they don't have combos but the burrito came with a side of chips, lettuce pico de gallo. Hands down, The BEST burrito I've had in along time. A good filling to meat ratio inside topped with a delicious avocado cream sauce. Service was great, although given a buzzer, food was bought over to the table. The drinks were self serve as well as the salsa bar. I didn't find any salsas appetizing as they were a little too sweet for me. I did find the seats and tables nice and the idea they had behind the built in purse holders on under each table was brilliant! I will definitely be returning to this location and maybe even reliving my first date again since I am re-dating my middle school sweetheart.

I have to start off by saying that I am a huge fan of Salsa Fiesta, I frequent the one on Biscayne very often and also the pines location without a complaint. I love the Hot Tamale sauce, it's amazing and pretty unique. This review is more of a reflection of the service than the food, although that was an issue too. A buddy and I visited for lunch last week. I was hyped to find out that this new location opened up in Miami Lakes and raved about it on the drive. I understand this is a new location and there are always growing pains, but I was upset enough to write my first bad review. The kid at the counter was very personable and tried really hard to be nice, he said that he worked at the Biscayne location prior. I ordered my usual tacos and my buddy ordered steak fajitas. When we got our meals they brought out a quesadilla instead of fajitas. The server took them away and the kid from the cashier came up and questioned if we ordered from him. At the time we were the only people in there. Then he couldn't understand that he took the order wrong but offered to fix it. A few minutes later he came back telling us the price difference was $1.06 and could we pay it at the front. Now, I have never run or owned a restaurant, but usually if the employee made the mistake I have never seen the patron get charged the difference, also he could have offered us the quesadilla to hold us over waiting on the fajitas. When the fajitas showed up, they were chicken. The kid made a point of telling us the steak was an extra buck but brought the chicken this time. So losing patience, they finally showed up with the steak fajitas. Guess what, they were cold. The kid offered to reheat it, we were done with the service there. The kid did come by three times apologizing, but never offered to comp the meal, free dessert, comp our next meal. Nothing to convince us to give them a second chance. It probably wasn't his fault, the manager never offered to fix the issue and the kid may not have had the authority to fix it. Either way the service sucked and the likelihood of either of us ever returning to this location is pretty bad. I will continue to frequent the Biscayne location just for the hot tamale sauce.

I never negatively review but this was such a bad experience. I came here because my friend said the food was really good so she brought me. Let's start with the fact they made my food wrong 3 times.. Which I tip beforehand on. First it had an item I asked for it not to have(salsa) Then it didn't have an item that comes with it(guac) Then they gave me the classic steak bowl without steak!!!!!!!! How does that happen?! By the time I got my food right my friends were done eating l. Then they bring a dessert on the house with whipped cream and caramel and when I eat it it's an egg roll with some kind of beef inside instead of the actual desert which brings hazelnut inside the roll almost threw up... Beef egg roll with caramel and whipped cream.. Disgusting. How do you mess up 4 times back to back.. Seriously worst experience ever I was speech less

First time there on a Friday night, it was busy but we were seated within 15 mins which to me was good Hostess and waiter were pleasant and friendly. Food arrive pretty quick (-: Tortilla soup - excellent Guacamole and chips - excellent Fish burrito- good but fish needed a little more cooking Fish tacos- ok, again fish needed more cooking Margaritas-not so good, I was so disappointed in this, not only is it not serve in a non margarita glass it was way to sweet Overall experience as Good/ok.

I had never been to any of their other locations but always heard great things - I now know why. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. Restaurant's atmosphere was very hip and the service was great. They are testing the table-service for dinner and weekends with this location and I think it's a concept that so far is working perfectly for them - friendly staff and fast service. We need more restaurant's with this type of vibe in Miami Lakes.

I understand they just opened... Maybe I change the review of i revisit the Miami Lakes location. We've had good service at the Pembroke Pines location off i75. The food is on point, service is exceptional The Miami lakes location needs staff help and to be quite honest the food in my opinion taste different.

  • Mike E.

Service was great, server was super attentive and food came out in less than 10 minutes after ordering - ordered the mero macho steak tacos, very flavorful, girlfriend ordered carnitas tacos original, nothing left on the plate so that says everything, margarita was very good as well - inside was very clean and well done, looked like there was ample outside seating as well which is a plus - price was great for the area - we will absolutely be back soon!

I've been a HUGE fan of Salsa Fiesta since eating at the one in Pembroke Pines. When I post on social media my location, people always say "You really love that place!" I do. The food is fresh, delicious, and great variety at a great price. When I found out Miami Lakes was opening up, I was beyond excited! My husband, 2 kids and I went today on a Saturday after 5. The place looked nice and busy. BUT I was very surprised with it being table service. I've only been to PP so I don't know how the other locations work. They usually have 2 people working the register, 1-2 runners and the cooks. It's ways busy, food is great and always comes fast. My review is based on the table service. I don't know if it was the lack of experience but the servers seemed lost. It took about 15 minutes to get seen by a waiter. After, we placed our order we were then seen by another waiter. I don't know if they assign tables but we found that strange. The food took a little while and it was great as usual. The waitress we had came once to take our order and we never saw her again. The bill took forever and another waiter came to take our plates. Finally, we got the bill and took a long time for it get paid because they use these iPad/tablets to swipe payment but there was 1 out of 4 functioning iPads. To be very honest, I don't think the table service works. The servers seemed inexperienced, overwhelmed and lost. I give it 3 stars based on the table service. The food is great and so is the location. I hope they can fix this (soon) because Miami Lakes needs a place like this.

I love this place!!! Since opening in the Miami Lakes location i've visited quite frequently for lunch. It's a bit pricey for lunch... I usually spend about $15. It's an Americanized taco joint if you're looking for a mom/pop feel and taste this is not the place for you. That doesn't take away from the food being good. I love the tacos. My favorite taco is the Guerrero or Spicy Tango with steak. Mmmm... Soooo good! The Monterrey Mix allows you to have the best of all the worlds. It comes with the Mexicano burrito (which is so tasty), an original taco which I upgrade I don't like the original taco it's really boring, plantains & a beef taquito. My favorite thing in the whole restaurant is the Mayan and roll. It is literally a party in your mouth. Chocolate goodness combined with Dulce de Leche.... I die from delight!!!!

I'm only giving 4 starts so they don't remove my review but it's really 5 stars!!! Great food. Fast and friendly service. Owners introduced themselves and knew my name after just my second visit. Wonderful relaxed environment. Something like this was greatly needed in Miami Lakes and I'm happy it's here. You must try it out. Lots of options for all ages and diets.

Table service is not such a good idea. Everything is fine. But salsa fiesta should stick with what they know. And table service isn't one of them. My parents loved the hot tamale dip. It seems to be popular. The restaurant is very cold inside. The temperature should be regulated a bit. Other than that it was okay.

This is the first time eating here and I was pretty disappointed. The only bright spot was the hot tamale dip. The service was subpar, we ordered two different burritos and the food runner that delivered the food did not know which one was which. The waiter told me to cut it down the middle to check. The food was pretty bland, would rather go to Chipotle.

I first tried salsa fiesta in the biscayne/wynwood location and it was pretty good so when I found out they were opening one in walking distance from my house I was pretty excited. Finally got to try it for dinner one day which is the time that they have servers (they don't have that in other locations). The server I had was great! She was very attentive and friendly. One thing I will say though is that they don't have a lot of tables so it can fill up pretty fast, if anything you can always take to go or eat outside! I ate nachos and they were pretty good. My boyfriend had another meal (I don't remember the name) and he said it was ok. They made a mistake and gave him a dessert as part of the meal because they look the same so he had to give it back and have them fix it.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla.
